Played at Edenvale
No1 – Brian - played lawyer Leon, who was still in recovery mode for a torn retina operation and not really of number 1 ranking so Brian had little trouble conceding only 9 points to win 3/0.
No2 – Johan – played Nick, who also is not really a number 2 but did make Johan sweat somewhat by quietly pulling back with some sneaky cross court drops but in the end Johan was too strong for him winning 15/12; 15/10 and 15/10.
No3- Des – played a new boy on the block, Steve, who was no match for a determined Des who won easily in three.
No4- John – played an old stalwart of Edenvale, Ronnie. This was the most evenly contested match of the night. John won the first game, lost the next two, took the fourth with an impressive effort but faded badly to lose the fifth.
A good win on a very cold night, dear reader.
