Having been beaten by Dainfern in the 1st round, revenge was on the cards.
Our new member Andrew (got to think of a “G” name for him) went on first at No 3 against Lucy who had beaten FurG in the 1st round. Andrew won convincingly 3-0, not letting Lucy see much of the ball.
G-string on next, finding some semblance of form, won a hard fought 3-2
Tactics saw LG playing at 2 to let the Silver Fox play a youngster. He won comfortably 3-1 – falling asleep to lose the 2nd.
With the match in the bag, G-spot started off like the Silver Fox of old, lobbing dropping and outwitting his young opponent and quickly won the first 2 games. But the youngster started reading the game and came back to 2-all and won a close fifth ( a bit of a cold and a tender hammie were my only excuses – of course if I’d needed to win, I would have!!!!!!!)
