CHAMPIONS ALREADY but we kindly decided to play the last match against Jeppe who loaded their side to play us.
Silver Fox on first (again) – played Warren who had beaten Jeff at IPT a few weeks earlier and made sure everybody knew it (several times). After he won the first 23-21 he re-iterated that he had beaten Jeff, and after narrowly wining the 2nd, Jeff’s name was heard to be mentioned again. The 3rd went to the Silver Fox however and Warren did admit that he’d only beaten Jeff 3-1 and that I was probably nearly as good as Jeff. After losing the 4th 15-3, Warren casually mentioned that he thought I was a much better player than Jeff. When he lost the 5th as well, Jeff’s name was not mentioned at all!!!. 3-2 to the Silver Fox
G-Bow on next and at his imperious best against a tough player Bruce. G-Bow never looked like losing this for a 3-1 win.
FurG also played an imperious game, having a blip in the 2nd but nearly won the 3rd 15-0 (was 13-0 up before losing a point)
The King on last at No 1 with nothing to play for didn’t play at his regal best and succumbed 3-1 to an on-fire ringer, Anton.
