5th League vs Old Eds

First win of the season!! [13-6]

Ryan on first against William. First looked like it was going to be easy walkover for William. Once acclimatised squeezed out a close 3-2 win

Dave on against Owen after a last minute pleading from Fergus to fill in for him. Dave made easy work of it, clinical concentration and precision for a 3-0 win

Flip was next against Glenn, worked hard but went down 3-1.

Chris playing Arne needing 2 games to get the win for the team. Took the first easily, seemed to stutter for the next then found his game and taught the youngster a lesson that he wouldn’t find in his notes (he was studying just before the game). A 3-1 win.

Match result : 13 - 6

4th LEAGUE vs Randburg

The Silver Fox takes to the court first again – shouldn’t be a problem as its only against the old adversary Sven van Rie and EVEN Fergus beat him last week in Masters. But the Fox embarrassed the canine? species and was never in the game. How the third was won nobody knows. The red-faced fox slunk off the court after a 1-3 loss.

Phil on next put an almighty effort into the first game before losing the game with a very bad call. Phil then gave his TrevorH impression with loud expletives and the ball pounded against the wall in anger. Luckily with a few words of encouragement Phil calmed down, losing the 3^rd closely again and taking the third. But the 4^th went the wrong way and a 1-3 loss.

Vevek on next played a brilliant first game but with numerous trade-mark chop drops into the nick. But then lost the plot and the next 3 games. Another 1-3 loss.

Jeff on next against Graham who had already taken out 3 Chamber players in Masters League this season. Could Jeff halt the rot – infortunately not and yet another 1-3 loss. Luckily Graham works on cruise ships and is back off to be a sailor soon so will not be around to torture Chamber players anymore this season .

3rd LEAGUE vs Parkview

We played the 2^nd Parkview side in 3^rd last night.

Gary played first against Lee, sore arm, a cold, brain dead, couldn’t convert. Managed to win a game, but not good enough.

Willem played next against Riaan. A marathon runner, and run he did. But, fitness sessions on Saturday mornings kicked in and Willem managed to hold on and win it in the end.

Mike played next against Ryan, games were close but Mike managed to win the points that count won (even though Ryan was hitting nicks all over the court).

Francis played last against Chris who ran well and dropped well. But, no match for our champ.
