Keith Arnot stood in for us and played No. 1 against a very skilful player who gave Keith a thrashing to 0/3. Our No.2 was Geoff Veining who played against a very proficient young lady who gave Geoff a good game. Pretty close to losing at times, Geoff held on to go through in 5 games to win the set at 2 / 3. No. 3 was played by Brian Sweigers who romped home with an easy win at 0 / 3. John Ferrington playing No. 4 had a good win against a fairly strong player to take the match in four games at 1 / 4
