Seems 3rd and 4th played Jeppe on the same night. And both were victorious.
Willem played first against Barry, both were unhappy with the marker (Anton). Willem thought they shouldn’t be lets and Barry thought they should be strokes. Willem struggled with the slow game that Barry made him play (Master’s squash), but managed to hold on and win the 5th.
Gary played next against Anton. Took a bit of warming up (got a hiding in the first), but managed to go 2-1 up. Then lost the 4th, making it another 5 setter. Gary won the 5th convincingly; Anton said he lost because of the marker (Francis).
Mike played next against Walter. Another awkward player. (When we play Jeppe in Masters – Trevor has to play him.) Mike was close in most games but couldn’t win. He managed to win the 3rd, but couldn’t get the 4th to make it go to 5. Mike complained about their marker (Barry).
Francis played last (and I marked), not problems, no contentions. He cleaned Trevor up like he was a novice; dropping 4, 4 and 3 points. I thought we would see our first PAR bagel when he was 10-0 up in the 3rd. The Jeppe guys complained that Francis should be playing first league.
